We welcome the recent positive decision by the European Medicines Agency to recommend approval for a new 13-valent pneumococcal vaccine for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years of age.

    Baby aware

Babies are most at risk from meningitis and septicaemia, so we are delighted that all new mothers will now receive one of our Baby Watch cards from the Public Health Nurse.

When the nurse makes her first visit to the home of the new mother she will give her one of our cards and answer any questions.
